At YogMatra, we offer a soulful sanctuary for yoga, meditation, and travel enthusiasts wishing to reconnect with nature and themselves. Founded in 2020 by Sachendra Pal in Rishikesh—the Yoga Capital of the World—our mission is to cultivate holistic well-being through immersive retreats, mindful treks, and spiritual explorations of the majestic Himalayas.
Our Retreats & Experiences
Whether you’re seeking quietude, movement, or spiritual insight, we craft experiences rooted in authenticity and connection. Our offerings include:
- Nature, Yoga & Meditation Retreats at our Eco Homestay in Urgam Valley—designed to harmonize body, mind, and environment.
- Guided Treks through pristine Himalayan landscapes to sacred sites like Kalpeshwar Mahadev (one of the Panch Kedar), Banga Pani stream, and more.
- Spiritual Journeys & Cultural Immersion, combining meditation and temple visits with the vibrancy of local community life.
A Homestay with Heart
Nestled at an altitude of around 2,200 meters in Danikhet village of Urgam Valley, our 50-year-old Himalayan mud house has been lovingly restored using traditional materials—stone, wood, and earthen plaster—to preserve its authentic heritage and eco-sensitivity.
With sweeping views of peaks like Brahma Kamal and Dronagiri, the homestay features private rooms, shared dorms, communal spaces, and a yogshala perfect for yoga and meditation. Guest comforts extend to fresh organic meals, Ayurvedic tea, high-speed Wi-Fi, and pure Himalayan spring water.
We strongly recommend stays of five nights or more to truly unwind, immerse in nature’s rhythm, and absorb the tranquil energy of the valley
Our Philosophy & Story
Born from a passion for simple living, holistic health, and spiritual depth, YogMatra began with an online presence during the pandemic. As opportunities returned to exploring landscapes, we evolved to offer tangible mountain retreats infused with culture, community, and inner transformation.

Within Infinite Truths lies the Eternal Truth
Who sees it all?
Varuna has but a thousand eyes
